The Best Porsche 991 GT3RS Mod Ever!

It’s no secret that the Porsche GT3RS is a beast. Some consider it a supercar, and some consider it a high-end sports car, but regardless of what you consider it, the GT3RS is one of the best track focused production cars ever. Like any car, though, it’s not perfect. It’s designed as a track car and not a daily driver, and as such, some creature comforts were an afterthought. It does have cup holders, surprisingly, but it lacks a good place to put your phone. Thankfully, Rennline has a solution with their ExactFit magnetic phone holder.

Of course, you could use a simple suction cup mount, but those are bulky, block your view of the road, and they’re pretty ugly. Plus, do you really want to use a universal mounting system in your nice Porsche? These new Rennline phone holders are slim and depending on which mount you buy, allow you to mount your phone either on the dash or the center console. Since the mount is magnetic, you won’t have to fiddle with any goofy mounting system, just plop your phone on it and it will stay there.

For our Project GT3RS, we opted for the mount which puts your phone just to the right of the factory radio. Mounting it does require removing some trim pieces from the center console, but the installation is really quite simple as long as you follow Rennline’s included instructions. The mount is thin enough that it fits between the radio and center console trim without an issue. The end result is a very sleek and discreet mounting solution which is not only more convenient than a universal mounting, but much better looking and much stronger.

This modification might not be as exciting as a tune or exhaust system, but for $45 it has to be one of the easiest and best mods you can do to your Porsche. If you have any questions about the Rennline ExactFit phone mounts, please do not hesitate to contact us. We can be reached by phone at 1.480.966.3040 or via email at [email protected].
