It is time for a new look and function for our Project Toyota TRD Pro. We removed the fixed side steps and bumper from N-Fab and went with the AMP Research Powersteps. These are a great solution to keep that ground clearance but give you the much needed step for family to get in and out. Plus steps really help prevent the wear on your leather seat sides from sliding in and out. The steps are sold in pairs for both sides of the vehicle. They make them for most popular truck and SUV applications as seen here. The biggest part of the product (the steps) are actually the easiest to install. Doing the side steps is fairly straight forward. The components bolt to the factory locations much like the standard side steps do. This can be easily done in any home garage with basic tools. The difficult part is doing the wiring. AMP does provide some well documented instructions like these, and there are a handful of good Forum write ups like this one. Overall this is a great addition to the Tundra to improve its look from the side and very functional.
