The McLaren 600LT is a fast and light, street-legal, track-day British supercar, or shall we say “superstar?” This vehicle pushes the boundaries of what is possible to set a new benchmark for its segment. It delivers pure adrenaline by way of a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 engine that produces 592 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque. It features quicker steering, much firmer engine mounts, track-focused Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires, and the lightweight suspension and braking system from the coveted 720S. In other words, the McLaren 600LT is not for the faint of heart and delivers pure adrenaline while pushing performance and driving to the absolute edge. It’s the most powerful and extreme ­Sport Series yet from the British marque, and it’s fully street legal! The 600LT is the next McLaren “Longtail” and it can only get better from here.

With that being said, we had a customer bring over their stunning McLaren 600LT for a little added spice. We installed the popular pops and bangs tune on this car and the results were, to say the least, very satisfying. With ECU flashing, not only will you gain horsepower and torque, but you will also enjoy enhanced driving characteristics with improved throttle response and better overall drivability. After installation, this customer’s car was put on our very own Mustang Dyno to record the results. It’s important to note that the dyno has a typical drivetrain loss of 20 percent in all-wheel drive and the numbers are shown on 91 octane. The final figures for the tuned McLaren 600LT were 660 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque.
