Video: Putting the VR Touch on the Ford Bronco with an ECU Tune

Last month, we introduced you to our latest project car: the all-new 2021 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands Edition. In our initial video, we gave you an up-close look at the brand new SUV as we took it out on the streets for a quick little test drive and then hooked it up to our in-house AWD Mustang Dyno to find out just how much power the turbocharged 2.0L EcoBoost engine really delivers. The stock numbers came out to 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. Of course, you all knew that we weren’t just going to leave those numbers be. And this engine provides enough room to do just that and also gain some better drivability in all modes as well.

With our ECU tune, we transformed the Ford Bronco Sport into a much more capable machine both on and off the road. The biggest difference when you flash your Bronco is the overall improvement of the power curve and the VR ECU flash delivers improved performance and proven gains. After tuning, the Bronco will have a much better throttle response throughout the entire RPM range all the way to the redline. Where it may be sluggish off the line, the newly flashed SUV will pick up right away and pull harder through the mid-and top-end RPMs to provide an enhanced driving experience.

Today, we are pleased to bring you our latest video featuring the very first and “best” mod to do to the 2021 Ford Bronco and that’s none other than a VR Tuned ECU Flash Tune. In short, we flashed ECU of this Bronco Sport and saw some pretty impressive gains of up to 55 horsepower and 75 pound-feet of torque on the dyno. In addition to a lift and some lighting changes like a light bar and A-pillar pod, this tune is a big step forward in making this project a force to be reckoned with! Check it all out below and watch the magic happen before your very eyes as we take the baby Bronco out on VR’s “drag strip” to see what pedal to the metal feels like with the new ECU flash.
