The all-new 2020 Porsche 992 Turbo S falls directly in line with what enthusiasts would deem is the perfect sports car. It’s extremely sporty while remaining comfortable and fully suitable for everyday use. At the heart and soul of this beast is a 3.8-liter Bi-Turbo Boxer engine that delivers an impressive 640 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque straight from the factory! Both figures are explicit improvements over the 991.2’s specs, specifically an increase of 61 horsepower and 37 pound-feet of torque.
The 992 Turbo S boasts is mated to a completely redeveloped 8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK), which allows for extremely fast gear changes without interrupting its power flow – not even by a millisecond. With excellent sprint performances, this bad boy can reach 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds and covers the quarter-mile in 10.5 seconds. What’s more, the top track speed in the Porsche Turbo S is 205 mph.
There’s no arguing that the 992 Turbo S is quite remarkable when stock, but there is always room for some improvement. And that is where the Vivid Racing team comes in with its popular VR Tuned ECU Flash. We took the beautiful 2020 Porsche 992 Turbo S cabriolet and turned it into a full-blown rocketship capable of delivering over 700+ horsepower and 650+ pound-feet of torque. Apart from being treated to a tune, this Turbo S also got a set of Tubi Style Race Pipes to give it that loud soundtrack to go along with its newfound power.

We first put it on the dyno to see some stock figures and get an idea of where they can go. We then installed the exhaust parts, conducted the flash tune, and threw it on the dyno again to see how much power the Turbo S gained. Lastly, we had to take this stunner out on the road and really feel those numbers being put to work. Safe to say, we were not disappointed.
