NOTE: Before starting the installation ensure the ignition is turned off and the vehicle is in park
Step 1: Remove the OEM PDK Shifter by twisting the lower collar a quarter of a turn clockwise. The collar is located under the PDK symbol on the shifter. Lift up on the shifter to remove from the vehicle as shown below.
Step 2: Slide the new base stalk over the shaft of the shifter. Make sure the Vivid Racing Logo is center with the Allen/hex screws to the side.
Step 3: Tighten both hex/allen screws on each side of the base stalk.
Step 4: Next slide the Carbon Fiber rod over the base stalk. This will take some force.
Step 5: Insert the actuator pin in the top of the shifter as shown.
Step 6: Attach the shift knob by inserting it into the carbon fiber rod as shown.
Step 7: Test to ensure the vehicle shift lockout release functions properly. Insert the key into the ignition and turn to accessory mode but do not start the vehicle. Engage the parking brake, push down on the shift knob and move the gear lever to drive, and then back to park ensure the shift lock mechanism out is working correctly.
