We are super excited to announce the continuation of our partnership with Vorsteiner by soon debuting the new Porsche 991 Turbo Aero kit. Since Vorsteiner began in 2004, Vivid Racing has used just about every aero kit they have made on our project cars. From our first BMW M3 E46, to our Mercedes C63, Porsche Panamera Turbo, and our world famous Porsche 997 Turbo, Vorsteiner has been involved in the Vivid Racing Car world. As a retailer, we get to see quality of all kinds of performance products and especially aero kits. Anytime you are making an aftermarket aero piece, fitment is tough without the proper tools, molds, and quality control. Even the best of the best have fitment issues. Vorsteiner has invested in some serious tooling and equipment to not only make sure their products fit like OEM and have a Class A finish, they stand behind their products 1000%. As Vorsteiner continues to release unique exotic aero kits for cars like the Lamborghini Aventador, their humble beginnings are still quite apparent. As our personal Porsche 991 Turbo undergoes their very first fitment, we are excited to share some behind the scenes pictures with our fans and followers. So stay tuned to this blog thread and our Instagram for updates along the way! Shop all current Vorsteiner Porsche and other products here.
Sneak Peak Rendering of the 991 Turbo Kit
Here the car is at Vorsteiner about to undergo its changes!
Vorsteiner has started the process with our 991 Turbo and we are super stoked to see how this is going to come out. The rear rendering just wont do it justice. So these are the plugs from the CNC machined molds they do. The fitted parts will have the carbon fiber parts much like their earlier 997 Turbo aero kit. Vivid Racing will be one of the first to have these for sale so make sure to contact if interested. Here are your sneak peaks for the weekend! Stay tuned for more.
The 991 Turbo is now in the design studio at Vorsteiner as they will test fit these CNC plugs. The plugs are all CNC machined on a 5 axis machine based of computer drawings. Once the test of the plugs are done, they will then create the molds to make the first article of parts. Pretty pumped to see some of the next pictures. Of course since these are just the plugs, the actual front lip and rear diffuser will all be carbon fiber. Stay tuned to here for more updates!
Here are some more photos of the 991 Turbo in the Vorsteiner design studio. Enjoy as it comes together.
Vorsteiner has started to fit their test CNC plugs on the car before they create the molds and do them in carbon fiber. First up is the front bumper on the 991. We can now see the Vorsteiner 991 Turbo aero kit start to take shape!
Vorsteiner just finished wrapping up the test fitment of their rear bumper. The bumper designed for the 991 Turbo will feature a full carbon fiber rear diffuser and intercooler ducts. This CNC machined prototyped is pictured here being altered to pull a perfect mold off of.
Vorsteiner has just about wrapped up the rear bumper and you can see it has been adjusted and sanded. The plug is now ready to make a mold off of and soon they will be pulling parts. Up next to fit is the 991 Turbo Rear wing. The Vorsteiner kit concept was released months ago way ahead of the 991 GT3RS and ironically its turning out to look like a GT3RS with more power!
