New Super Light Staggered Forged Wheel Set Up From Vorsteiner For the Porsche 991 GT3 RS!
Recently announced, Vorsteiner now has a performance forged wheel specifically for the Porsche 991 GT3 RS. The GT3 RS is a super light, track oriented model of the 911. Owners of these vehicles pay a premium over the standard model because of the weight reduction, advanced aerodynamics and an amazing naturally aspirated 4.0 Flat 6. So when modifying one of these street legal race cars, owners tend to push for performance over aesthetics.
The factory center lock wheels are quite light at 23lbs front and 29lbs rear. From a design and structural stand point, there is not much you can take away to offer weight savings in the aftermarket. Vorsteiner has managed to make an attractive new wheel for this model that not only looks good, but sheds even more weight off of the GT3 RS. At 22lbs front and 26.6lbs rear, there is nearly 7lbs of un-sprung weight saved. Not only are you helping out the performance, you can look good doing it.
The new wheels are 20×9.5 and 21×12.5 respectfully. The wheels can be ordered in special finishes for an added cost. The official Specs are listed below:
