The CX-3 features Mazda’s 2.0L SKYACTIV-G engine, which achieves an impressive 14:1 compression ratio and offers superb efficiency. What is the octane rating requirement for this modification? Can it be toggled using the OEM Sport setting?
Hey David! Thanks for reaching out to us. We recommend a minimum of 91 octane however we can tailor the tuned file around 91 or 93 octane, we can also provide a calibration that will allow you to take advantage of both fuel types. In the event you need to run a lower octane such as 87 the vehicle will pull timing to accommodate you will just have reduced power output.
