WP Pro Brakes Releases New Kia Stinger 2 Piece Brake Rotors

Although the Kia Stinger is an excellent sports sedan from a company known for building economy focused cars, no car is perfect. Tons of cool aftermarket goodies for the Stinger have been released this year, with many more cool parts to go, but so far there hasn’t been a huge amount of aftermarket stuff for the braking system. From the factory, the Stinger GT has Brembo brakes which are quite good, but they could be even better, which is where WP Pro comes in with their all-new two-piece front rotors.

You might be thinking “why do I need a two piece rotor?” and the answer is weight. Brake rotors are just more rotational mass. Decreasing rotational mass generally improves initial turn in, steering feel, and slightly decreases braking distance. Single piece rotors are usually pretty heavy, while two-piece rotors are pretty light. To put it simply, two-piece rotors have less rotational mass and will slightly improve how your car handles. The stock Stinger GT rotors weigh 11.4kg while these new WP Pro rotors weigh 7.9kg, representing a weight loss of 3.5kg (7.7lbs) per corner; a total weight loss of 14kg (30lbs)!

Of course, they rotors aren’t just lighter. They are also designed to have superior cooling over the stock rotors, which is important as the Stinger GT is a relatively heavy car with a ton of grip and power, meaning the brakes can get very hot very fast. With a more efficient design, you can brake harder for longer without brake fade. Plus, if you ever need to replace your rotors, you have to buy the rotor ring and not an entire rotor, which helps save a little bit of money.

If you have any questions about the WP Pro Two-Piece Rotors for Kia Stinger with Brembo Brakes, please do not hesitate to contact us. We can be reached by phone at 1.480.966.3040 or via email at [email protected].
