The new compound is molded into a directional tread pattern that features squared shoulders, an enhanced contact patch and Goodrich’s Performance Racing Core system that delivers better overall balance for improved handling, increased cornering grip and enhanced stability, which is an area this tire excels in. Cornering and handling are further increased with g-Control sidewall inserts.

BFGoodrich 's Performance Racing Core construction includes its Equal TEnsion Containment System (ETEC System) of spiral-wrapped nylon over twin steel belts to optimize the contact patch and traction of the tire at speed while the g-Control sidewall inserts combine ride comfort with responsive handling.

While BF Gooodrich focused on providing a good deal of traction and cornering performance, they did not neglect those of us who had to ride tires for hours at a time. Although we have to say that snow performance is much better than we expected on a high-performance tire like this, braking/acceleration on icy road surfaces is going to be a bit more of an issue. This tire does not, of course, pretend to be a winter tire by any means. So do not use it at the slightest hint of snow.
