Fortunately, batteries typically send us a few warning signals that they're going to malfunction, so before you're stuck, you can get a new battery.
1. Dim Headlights
If the car battery fails, it won't be able to completely control your engine's electronic systems, including the headlights. Pay attention if you find that your headlights appear dim and weaker than normal! Not only is the diminished light a safety problem, but it also indicates that your car battery is nearly dead.
2. Slow Engine Crank

3. Backfiring
It's one danger sign that you can't ignore! A car battery that fails will cause occasional sparks. These intermittent sparks will result in the cylinders collecting fuel. L terminals, top, side, or pot may be the terminals that link the battery to the electrical system. CCA is the maximum current that can be provided by the battery at 0??F for 30 seconds without the need for a voltage drop below 7.2V. Reserve capacity is the amount of period a completely charged battery discharges at 80??F at 25 amps before the voltage decreases below 10.5V.
You should have a battery with a high amount of CCA if you reside in a very cold place, and with all the technologies on modern cars that draw current with the key off, a high ratio of reserve power is also critical.
