The Grabber UHP is a street/sport truck summer tire by General Tire designed for sports activity automobiles, high-performance pickups, and sport utility vehicles. The Grabber UHP was built to highlight traction, handling, and stability in both dry and wet situations. We do not suggest driving Grabber UHP tires in wintry weather beyond light snow while surpassing industry minimum M+S tread pattern standards (and labeled as such).
The Grabber UHP combines sharp steering with dry road grip by molding General Tire's 2nd version ultra-high-performance silica compound into a directional tread pattern with broad shoulder blocks and a center V-shaped tread region. The V-shaped grooves assist in brushing excess water from the tire's contact area and the road surface, reducing the risk of hydroplaning and improving wet traction. The tire's internal structure and shape have been improved, with twin steel belts strengthened by spirally wrapped jointless nylon on top of polyester body plies to provide reactive handling and cornering precision as well as high-speed longevity.

The UHP is a performance-oriented tire designed for sports vehicles and SUVs. General employs a 2nd generation silica tread compound combined with a directed tread design to improve dry and wet traction. These General UHP tires provide some of the finest straight line and cornering characteristics of any street SUV or truck tire now on the market. The grip is fantastic, and the ride is pleasantly surprising for such a high-performance tire. If you reside in an area that gets snow, we wouldn't recommend driving them in the winter because traction is terrible. Then again, this isn't exactly a winter tire. It's meant to deliver excellent performance on dry and wet road surfaces, and it succeeds admirably.
