What makes the SSR GTF01 Special?

The GTF01 features a beautiful 5-spoke face design that has a sporty aura about it. The GTF range is one of SSR’s line of one-piece forged wheels. One-piece SSR wheels are seamless, accurate, lightweight and strong. SSR manufactures all one-piece wheels with SSF technology. SSR begins with the MHD (Magneto-Hydro Dynamics) aluminum billet, which is heated to a semi-solid semi-molded state. The material is then pressed through the SSF machine at an extremely high rate of wheel creation. It is then cooled down and cleaned by an air gun. The wheels are thoroughly checked for imperfections and sent to the painting process.

Heat Treatment Manufacture

After the forging or casting process, which depends on the model, once the wheel is fully cooled, it undergoes a heat treatment which makes it even stronger and lighter than it already is. The wheel's inner barrel is then heated a second time as the interior of a wheel is generally where much of the tension happens in just about every driving situation. This heating makes the barrel as light as a feather and capable of withstanding tremendous amounts of energy, even in racing environments.
