HOW DOES HEATERS WORKS?

The heater is a component of a system that serves two purposes. In addition to warming your vehicle, it also assists in keeping the engine cool. The heat generated by the engine builds up and must be dissipated; the majority of this heat is dissipated through the exhaust system, while the remaining heat remains in the engine casting and is transferred to the coolant. As the vehicle reaches operating temperature, the thermostat will open and allow the coolant to circulate through the engine passage, removing heat from the engine and directing it to the radiator. The heated fluid will then circulate to the heater core, which will distribute the heat throughout the cabin. Users regulate the heater and fans to determine how much heat they want to enter the cabin. The heater core is mounted under the dashboard or heating, ventilation, and air conditioning control panel on the passenger side of the vehicle. The heater control valve is a device that regulates the circulation of hot engine coolant through the heater core. This control valve regulates the cabin's temperature.

The cooling system must be in good condition for the heater to operate properly. Having the correct mixture of coolant and water, as well as having full coolant levels and no leaks, is also crucial for ensuring that the machine is in proper working order. The thermostat must open and close at the appropriate temperatures without sticking, and the water pump must be operational so that coolant can circulate through the engine, radiator, and heater core.
