Driveshaft Shop Aluminum Driveshaft Subaru STI Rear R180 04-06

This is a 3" Aluminum single shaft for all the Subaru platforms. These shafts are in some of the fastest Subarus around the world including Easy Streets WRX and Big Valleys STI. the shafts do have some clearance issues so the floor will need to recontoured a little (some floor braces flattened along with the floor you must have 3/4" clearance all the way around the shaft in every area) these shafts are designed for street use but may also be used for racing, so DSS needs to advise you the shaft has a 600WHP max and a critical speed of 150mph. These shafts have had more than both put into them but these are the recommended limits. This shaft is less than half the weight of the factory 2 piece and by eliminating the hanger will remove the lag the factory shaft has when the hanger moves up and down. Comes with 1 year warranty.

Note: 150MPH Max.

Please Note: All aftermarket driveshafts might be slightly larger than factory specs therefore minor clearance might need to be cut or cleared in the driveshaft tunnel. Driveshaft should have a minimum of 1/2" clearance for proper use.

Who Is The Driveshaft Shop?

What is the use of a 1000-horsepower vehicle if you cannot effectively transfer it to the wheels? HP is not the only thing professional builders look at when upgrading a vehicle's performance. Each component plays a critical role in making a car go fast, and the driveshaft is one of them.

The driveshaft is responsible for transferring your engine’s power to the differential to your wheels. It is the reason why when you upgrade your engine, it is best if you also upgrade this component. And when it comes to the driveshaft, one name stands out, and that is The Driveshaft Shop.

How It All began

For more than 40 years, The Driveshaft Shop (DSS) has designed and produced many driveshafts used in numerous record-setting race cars. It is the leader in high-quality aftermarket axles and driveshafts for high-power automotive racing applications. The Driveshaft Shop has a driveline solution for your modified vehicle from drag racing to drifting and offers high-performance one-piece driveshafts and heavy-duty axle shafts for several late-model performance applications.

Not Your Typical Off-The-Shelf Product

The Driveshaft Shop doesn’t just build driveshafts using off-the-shelf products. It’s a full-on CNC machine shop that manufactures all its components in-house. It allows them to control how they manufacture their products and helps the company keep their high standard in place.

Continuous Improvement

The Driveshaft Shop continues to grow and research daily and strives to keep up with the ever-changing automotive industry. It is dedicated to producing racing driveshafts regardless of the many challenges involved.

It is because modern-day engines have much higher horsepower, torque, and RPM figures with more complicated suspension systems and better transmissions. In short, a good manufacturer needs to know a lot more today to produce the perfect quality driveshaft, and DSS is capable of and does just that!

Why Choose The Driveshaft Shop?

The company offers driveshafts in aluminum, steel, Chromoly, and now carbon fiber so that they can design a solution for your individual needs and preference. Every axle and driveshaft built by The Driveshaft Shop uses only the finest materials and latest manufacturing techniques as they become available.

Moreover, each driveshaft produced by The Driveshaft Shop is dynamically balanced at over 9000 RPMs to ensure unmatched quality and reliability. Its direct-fit IRS axles are rated up to 1400 horsepower for extra strength when added to drag racing and supercharger applications.

A Driveshaft For Your Every Need

The brand offers a range of products for Audi, Honda, BMW, Acura, Nissan, Porsche, Chevrolet, Dodge, Chrysler, Volkswagen, and many others. If you need a "not immediately available" part, the Driveshaft Shop will custom make one for you. The brand doesn’t play around when it says, “We Specialize In The Impossible.”
