Enkei RPT1 | Why Should I install these on my truck?

Enkei loves paying homage to itself. Remember, it has produced the wheels for the Honda-McLaren Formula 1 team in 1995. And then we got the RPF1 as an homage to that wheel. Because the RPF1 is so famous for its light weight, Enkei thought to themselves, “why don’t we make one for trucks?” 

And then Boom! The RPT1 was born.

The Enkei RPF1 was first introduced to the world in 2002 and it was an instant hit thanks to its high strength, low weight, and no-nonsense design.  Truck and SUV owners have often asked for Enkei to develop an RPF1 for them and we listened.  The all-new Enkei RPT1 features the same clean split-spoke design as the RPF1 but is built to higher loading capacities to suit 6-lug trucks and SUVs.  Available in 16” 17″ and 18” applications and a variety of colors, the RPT1 is one of the lightest weight and toughest truck wheels on the market today.

Like all Enkei Performance wheels, the RPT1 was produced using Enkei’s vaunted MAT process.  The Most Advanced Technology combines one-piece cast wheel technology with a rim forming technology called spinning process. Using this technique of casting and rim forming is critical to improving the material property and strength of the RPT1. Rim-Rolled technology shapes the rim to improve material elongation without sacrificing the wheels’ hardness.

This hybrid process of casting and forging gives the RPT1 high material strength while keeping manufacturing costs less than forged wheels.

Because this wheel will go under your trucks, it needs to be tough. That is why the RPT1 is engineered to pass rigorous testing. Enkei established their own test standard called “Spec-E,” which is tougher than JWL requirements. Enkei’s Spec-E test setting requires a higher drop point in the impact test and 20% more cycles for the rotary bending fatigue and dynamic radial fatigue tests than JWL standards. The Spec-E represents Enkei’s confidence in its technology and quality.

The RPT1 is available in 16, 17, and 18-inch diameters. The sole finish is an attractive Matte Dark Gunmetal.
