Goodyear's Ultra High-Performance Summer self-supporting run-flat tire for convertibles, C6 Corvette coupes, and hardtops is the Eagle F1 GS-2 EMT (Extended Mobility Technology). These tires, which include Goodyear's Extended Mobility Technology, enable prolonged mobility even if a puncture causes full loss of air pressure.
The Eagle F1 GS-2 EMT is meant to combine wet and dry traction with treadwear. However, it is not recommended to operate in near-freezing weather, snow, or ice, as are all summer tires. "Ultra high-performance summer tires are not advised for winter usage," according to Goodyear's guarantee, "and tread or shoulder cracking on those tires caused by winter use will not be covered under its warranty."
Goodyear's Ultra-High-Performance tread compound is formed into a directed tread pattern on the Eagle F1 GS-2 EMT tires. A constant center rib provides continual road contact to improve straight-line tracking and early steering reaction.
