Super Competition Sidemount headers deliver the most aggressive style and performance for your early Corvette. Sidemount headers are built from lightweight 18 gauge tubing. Sidetubes slip directly to the collector for a leak free seal. Hooker sidemount headers and sidetubes come with 3 choices of coating; show quality chrome, high heat resistant black paint and Hooker's Metallic Ceramic Thermal Barrier Coating. Replaceable Hooker mufflers are available separately in 2 different styles; glasspack and reverse flow. The glass pack style provides the highest performance with minimal backpressure and sound control. The reverse flow is designed for maximum sound control.

Who is Hooker Headers?

Hooker Headers is a company founded by Gary Hooker in 1962. It started when he decided to design a header for his 409 Chevrolet. Soon after, he realized a demand for headers in his area and decided to produce them commercially. Starting with a few employees in a building in South Ontario, CA, Hooker Headers was born.

Simple Yet Effective Design

The company’s philosophy is simple, to produce a header design that would make real and usable power by balancing the exhaust and intake pressure waves. Up to this day, Hooker Headers holds the claim of the winningest header in drag racing history.
