Kleemann was founded in 1985 near Copenhagen. Initially, it was a two-man operation, but took on a third partner in 1994. Kleemann began marketing its supercharger performance systems in 1988. The slogan of Kleemann is "Comfort Power," referring to its low-boost, high-output engines which generate considerably more power than standard Mercedes models. Kleemann vehicles also feature changes in the structural and mechanical integrity that are often missing in tuned sports cars. Its corporate logo is an abstract arrow that is called the Kleemann carrot by some corporate representatives.
Kleemann has also designed record-setting Mercedes Benz cars, in addition to building some of the world's most luxurious and exclusive Mercedes-Benz vehicles for public roads. An argument strongly illustrated in the early 2000s as Kleemann clinched two world records as the fastest street-legal sedan and SUV.
Kleemann maintains exceptionally high-quality expectations on all of our goods and two world records demonstrated the tremendous potential of the Kleemann Kompressor System and the tuning systems on engines and frames. In 2002 the Danish rally driver Jason Watt was racing 338 km/t (210 mph) in a 607 Hp Kleemann E55 K S8 (W210) making it the fastest four-door saloon car in the world at the time. Less than a year back, on Nardo in southern Italy, Jason Watt raced a Kleemann modified ML55 K S8 at a stunning 282 km/h (175 mph).
