The suffix "LT" stands for "Longtail," a term that became established as common for racing cars with a longer rear end at the 24 Hours of Le Mans starting in the late sixties. The elongated rear end made the Porsche 917 "longtail" racecars even faster on the nearly six-kilometer Mulsanne straight. In 1997, the McLaren F1 GTR Longtail won the GT1 class at the worlds most famous endurance race. With the McLaren 765LT, the British sports car manufacturer transfers this aerodynamic principle to the road once more. The lightweight two-seater is a perfect basis for the specialty of the German automotive refinement specialist Novitec : making the worlds most fascinating sports cars even more powerful, faster and more exciting!
