Pagid racing compounds are complex formulations with very high content of ceramic materials. The difference to competitors metallic compounds is the superior thermal insulation and the higher heat resistance of ceramic compared to iron. Ceramic has a very low heat conductivity, so less brake disc temperature goes through the pad to the caliper. Pagid have measured up to 140 degrees farenheit difference in temperature compared to competitor pads.
Pagid uses a unique and patented system to ensure the friction material does not delaminate from the steel backing plate. The friction material is attached to the backing plate in two ways, adhesive bonding and mechanical retention. Pagid is the only race pad that features a retention system which not only connects the steel backing plate with the under-layer, but also with the friction material itself.
Pagid RSC brake pads are a racing compound engineered for various ceramic brake disc applications. Specifically, RSC1 pads are designed for light uses such as sprint races and track days. This friction material features an ideal combination of cold friction, fade resistance and low thermal oxidation of the disc surface fibres.Features:
- Engineered for Ceramic Brake Disc Applications
- Designed for Sprint Races or Track Days
- Cold Friction & Fade Resistance
- Low Thermal Oxidation of the Disc Surface
NOTE: Pagid racing materials are NOT for use on public roads.
