ABOUT PROGRIP

Progrip specializes in the motorsports industry for over forty years. Their products include grips, masks, helmets, and accessories for adults and kids.

PROGRIP HISTORY

In 1960, in Cassano Magnago's ancient factory on Via Roma, they began manufacturing sports products. Progrip joined the Chamber of Commerce in the same year, Mr. Francesco Assaghi, the plastics owner of Cassano, built the original company in 1925, which was located in Cassano Magnago.

At the time, Plastics Cassano specialized in the manufacture of buffalo horn handlebar handles. Immediately following World War II, the first plastic knobs were manufactured in Bakelite and acetate. The daily production capacity was approximately 1,000 pairs of dials. Now Progrip manufactures almost 200,000 pairs of dials per day. With 70% of their items shipped worldwide. Later on, it started manufacturing motocross, masks, sports apparel, ski goggles, and snowboarding gear.

PROGRIP QUALITY

Progrip offers high-quality raw materials that have been procured from reputable sources with consistency in terms of quality. The raw materials adhere to European safety standards EN/71 (non-toxic materials). Cassano Plastics strictly controls the quality of its raw materials, both internally and through third-party laboratories that issue quality certificates. World champions in major competitions have rigorously tested all of their ski items.

PROGRIP PRODUCTION

The manufacturing process is strictly governed by written guidelines that are disseminated to all of its employees. From the time the molds are made to the time they are shipped, everything is planned and managed appropriately.

PROGRIP PRODUCT EVALUATION

The quality control of Progrip manufactured items occurs twice: the first time during the production phase when each operator has the time and responsibility to inspect each and every item produced. Their operators are required to check the design and dimensions of each 100 pieces using specialist tools. The second quality control occurs prior to the products being packaged, when an operator checks the size and finish of three parts for each box, for a total of 100 to 200 pieces depending on the model.

This method enables Progrip to provide a high-quality product at an affordable price and is among some of the world's largest and most recognizable names in cycling, skiing, and snowboarding. You can also purchase Progrip products on our website.
