Anytime an engine is put under extreme conditions such as racing temperatures under the hood will quickly rise. Higher temperatures under the hood mean a greater likelihood that rubber components such as belts and hoses will fail. Heat can also be detrimental to engine performance; a hot engine can cause the intake air temperature to rise which decreases air density.

Megan Racing has developed a heat shield to combat this very problem. Megan Racing’s heat shield bolts on wrapping around the exhaust manifold to block heat at the source. This extra measure of protection will greatly reduce the amount of heat your engine is subjected to by diffusing the heat in multiple directions.
