A factory shifter was not made with racing or spirited driving in mind. A stock shifter has a much longer “throw” than necessary, meaning slower shifting and a less engaging driving experience. Stock shifters make shifting a cumbersome task that requires more effort than necessary.

Megan Racing’s Short throw shifter is made with high strength billet steel and is nickel plated for ultra low friction and corrosion resistance. The throw is reduced up to 40%, and shift knob height is reduced by 1 to 3 inches depending on the model. These shifters provide a more precise shift and allows for quicker shifting to drastically improve your driving experience. Short throw shifters help you to feel more “connected” to your car by increasing the responsiveness of driver input.
