Product Information Neuspeed Short Shift Kit - 6 Speed Manual Transmission - Volkswagen GTI MKVI 10+ The NEUSPEED short shift kit easily installs onto the transmissions selector shaft. The Neuspeed short shift kit reduces the throw length between gears by approximately 40% - this is the absolute maximum reduction possible without overextending the cable mechanism. The NEUSPEED short shift kit incorporates a calibrated counterweight which is required for more positive shift action. Lookout for kits without the counterweight, as they will produce very notchy gear selection. This is a completely bolt-on application - no cable adjustment required.
