RAM has fulfilled its promise to honor the five land, sea, and air-based branches of the United States Armed Forces with the fifth installment of its ‘Built to Serve’ Edition trucks. The final series salutes the U.S. Coast Guard in a striking Spitfire Orange or Bright White exterior color. Just 500 and 750 of the trucks will be sold, respectively, making this release the rarest of the bunch.
“Ram continues to honor all of those who serve or have served in the United States armed forces with distinction through our latest Built to Serve offering,” says Mike Koval Jr., head of Ram Brand at FCA – North America. “The Built to Serve adage is something Ram truck owners, whether civilian or military, are very familiar with as it’s something we strive to build into every truck and van we produce.”
Available on every RAM body style and powertrain, a ‘Built to Serve’ package costs $2,795. Like the other ‘Built to Serve’ RAMs, the Coast Guard-inspired edition receives unique badging, a blacked-out exterior trim, side steps, and body-color fender flares. Bold exterior details include black American flag decals, front and rear bumpers, and running boards to complete its distinct look. It also comes with the 4×4 Off-Road package which includes features like all-terrain tires, heavy-duty shock absorbers, electronic-locking rear differential, hill descent control, tow hooks, and skid plates.
Inside, you will find ‘Built to Serve’ badges attached with Velcro to the sport seats to further emphasize the exclusivity of these trucks. These custom seats include contrast color stitching and dedicated areas on the front and side where you can display your own military patches. The MOLLE strip panel on the back of the seats allows for even more functional customization. Every inch of this truck was designed with utility in mind with premium available features like the Mopar all-weather slush mats and optional locking console safe. Contrast-color stitching of each edition represents the branch of the military it is designed to commemorate—in this case, orange for the Coast Guard.
‘Built to Serve’ Ram trucks are offered in the following colors and limited numbers:
- 1,000 trucks in Gator and 1,000 in Diamond Black representing the Army
- 1,000 trucks in Ceramic Gray and 1,000 in Patriot Blue representing the Navy
- 1,250 trucks in Anvil and 1,500 in Billet Silver representing the Air Force
- 1,000 trucks in Tank and 1,000 in Flame Red representing the Marines
- 500 trucks in Spitfire and 750 in Bright White representing the Coast Guard
Inside, the ‘Built to Serve’ Edition Ram trucks represent each of the five military branches mentioned above, accented with unique, corresponding color stitching: Light Frost, Light Ambassador Blue, Light Diesel Gray, Medium Greystone, or Orange.
