The McLaren MP4-12C carbon composite chassis, mid mounted, 3.8L Twin Turbocharged supercar has been a force to reckon with since the release in 2011. The 12C is McLaren’s first production car completely designed and built by McLaren since the McLaren F1, which ended production in 1998. And as many car enthusiasts can agree, fast just was fast enough for us over here at Vivid Racing!
We teamed up with Armytrix exhausts in the search of an exhaust note that would complement this machine’s sleek yet aggressive styling. Enhancing the 12C’s already impressive performance, Armytrix offered us their new Titanium Racing Valvetronic exhaust systems. Not only does it increase the power output, but it also significantly reduces the weight. The attention to detail can be seen in every component, which was key considering the vehicle being modified. Armytrix exhaust systems differ from other brand’s with their unique “Throttle Pedal Sensor and Engine RPM Signal Auto Functions”. Through this system Armytrix offers car owners a better launch-start without losing back pressure by automatically closing the valves at low rpm. When your car is driving at high speeds, the valves will automatically open to increase air flow for better performance (hp & torque gained) and sound. The system is also includes the wireless key fobs to open & close the valves and can be paired with your smartphone via Bluetooth for valve control as well as reading out vehicle diagnostics. (Like seen on our CLA45 AMG) In the end we were able to get this fire breathing beast sounding and performing better than ever!
