To Remedy this situation AST Suspension has released their new 5000 series line of coilovers. The 5100 line offers basic height adjustments, dampening adjustments and upgraded springs. The 5200 line adds to that and offers 2-way adjustable external reservoirs. The 5300 has low and high speed compression adjustments for the ultimate performance and adjust-ability. Paired with the Golf R’s AWD system our inverted 5000-series coil over systems can increase grip and performance in various conditions and differing road surfaces.
Our design incorporates a long stroke for added comfort on the AWD platform. The low-profile top mounts can dial in the camber for any road surface you encounter and our 11-click adjustment can dial in the ride for soft and supple street driving or a stiff motorsport feel. Our inverted technology produces an extremely strong damper, providing better suspension geometry under heavy lateral and braking loads in either a spirited road or track environment. Using a 45mm inverted piston design increases damper strength in all directions, optimizing cornering and braking forces under high-stress conditions. Proven during countless competitions around the world, our design provides an ultra-strong strut with low frictional resistance.”
