The Can-AM X3 is well known for offering great handling and lots of power in a well-built package. For many UTV owners, it’s the near perfect machine. Although it offers a lot of performance right out of the box, further improving performance is very easy and can make your X3 even more fun to drive. There are quite a few different ways to improve a Can-AM X3, but tuning is arguably the best bang-for-buck option.
With traditional tuning, air/fuel ratio and ignition timing (as well as VVT on applications which support it) are the main variables which can be fine-tuned to increase power. Thanks to Can-AM’s use of a turbocharger on the X3, a massive world of tuning is opened up. A simple increase in boost pressure can result in massive power gains!
Where naturally aspirated vehicles typically see small gains with tuning, turbocharged vehicles such as the Can-AM can see massive power gains.
