Owning a GTR is certainly special as it is one of Nissan’s only supercars to ever be manufactured. The history of the GTR badge has always been to resemble Nissan’s performance and has stood true for many decades. With the newest generation of the R-chassis, it truly encompasses the essence of raw power, exhilaration, and balance.
Modifying the GTR is much easier than many other supercars due to its simple engineering aspect. For our customer @yoshuaax, he was able to modify his GTR with a Tomei Extreme Titanium exhaust system. After installing the Tomei Ti exhaust, the true tone of the VR38DETT was unlocked.
Not only did the exhaust system open up the glorious tone of the V6 twin-turbocharged beast, but it saved tremendous weight. Thanks to the lightweight titanium construction, the Tomei exhaust system saves over 30-pounds which makes a significant difference. There was also a performance increase thanks to the Tomei exhaust.
The Tomei Extreme exhaust eliminates restriction by increasing the main piping to 4-inches compared to 2.8 from the factory. This increase in diameter results in amazing power gains while allowing the GTR to breathe. With the Tomei Extreme exhaust, pops and bangs from the engine are amplified to a glorious extent.
