Much like any performance enthusiast, we were curious—can a cold air intake really make a difference in extreme heat? We’re talking 114°F in the Arizona desert. And what better vehicle to test this on than our Ford Raptor?
We decided to install the aFe Power Momentum GT Cold Air Intake and put it through its paces. From install to dyno, we did it all—and filmed the entire process so you can see the gains for yourself.

Before diving into mods, we wanted to get a baseline. So we strapped the Raptor to the dyno and ran a few pulls to gather stock numbers. Then came the fun part: swapping out the factory intake for aFe’s bolt-on system. The install was simple—straightforward fitment and solid build quality. But the real question was how it would perform under scorching summer conditions.
This intake isn’t just for show. It’s designed for maximum airflow and efficiency, which translates to real-world power you can feel on and off the road. Whether you’re climbing dunes or cruising the freeway, this upgrade just makes sense.
With the new intake on, we fired up the Raptor and immediately noticed a deeper intake growl and quicker throttle response. For more results, be sure to check out our video!
