The problem with installing aftermarket seats is finding high-quality sliders for the seats. The OEM sliders are very high quality, but you can’t mount aftermarket seats to them without proper brackets/mounts. This is where Brey Krause comes in, with their two new seats mounts for the BRZ/FRS/86 platform. These mounts are designed to take aftermarket seats and mount them to the factory sliders.
Using the factory sliders has a number of benefits. The factory sliders are very quiet and offer a very large range of motion when compared to most aftermarket sliders. The OEM sliders are also incredibly strong and designed to keep the seat properly mounted to the vehicle in the case of a crash. These new mounts are available for 433mm-460mm and 395mm-432mm wide aftermarket seats, which covers the large majority of aftermarket seats.
The mounts also feature multiple holes at different heights, to help you mount your seat at the optimal height. The R-148X series side mounts utilize the stock 3-point seat belt receptacle mounting point to properly locate the stock seat belt. Additional harness lap-belts mount positions are included.
Aside from the seat mounts, Brey Krause is also introducing an all-new harness bar for the BRZ/FRS/86. The harness bar is designed to mount 4, 5, or 6-point harnesses. The harness bar has been tested and certified by an independent lab to handle the types of forces required by the National Highway Traffic Safety Admin.
