Morimoto has been building the best upgrades and off-road lighting solutions for the automotive aftermarket since 2008. The brand is constantly pushing to create the next top-grade lighting product that checks all the boxes: performance, styling, reliability, and best-in-class fitment. With that said, Morimoto unveiled its all-new 4Banger LED light pods at SEMA last year to revolutionize the off-road market. The Morimoto team worked through and through to ensure that these new LED pods would prove to be the best performing units over the competition. If you are looking for some LEDs that will really make driving in the dark, and off-road, much safer and enjoyable, the 4Banger series is worth checking out!

The 4Banger series is designed to compete in a class of LED pods that is traditionally based around four LED lights. But thanks to Morimoto’s advanced optics, the 4Banger actually beats out the competition and does not even use the fourth LED to do it. In other words, the clever optics used in the 4Banger series allows these lights to do more with less. Thanks to the quality of the beam patterns and their distribution, it does not need to be the “brightest” in order to be the most effective. Additionally, the overall footprint of the 4Banger is approximately 30 percent smaller than alternatives that offer comparable performance. This allows for an unbeatable OEM-like fitment when paired with Morimoto’s fog light or A-Pillar mounting kits, which are available for today’s most popular trucks.
The brand new, patent-pending line of Morimoto 4Banger Off-Road LED lights were completely designed, engineered, and tested right here in the USA. The LED pods themselves are available in 12 unique variations; there’s the entry-level 4Banger NCS model and a maximum output model known as the 4Banger HXB – both are abbreviations for the type of LED chip being used. Each tier consists of three different beam patterns available (spot, combo, wide beam) with a white and yellow light output.
And with high power means high heat and comes great responsibility. That’s why Morimoto went to great lengths to ensure the utmost reliability for its products. For this reason, the 4Banger features a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB that maximizes heat transfer to the radiator, which has been optimized through numerous rounds of thermal analysis. The cast aluminum shell is electroplated before powder coating to withstand flaking. Other parts of its construction have also all been designed according to IP69K standards for full weather resistance.
Street Legality Notice: With a standard -4 degree aim, the beam pattern produced by both the NCS and HXB Wide Beam models has been verified compliant with the latest SAE F regulation for use as a street-legal fog light. When aimed properly, the Spot and Combo beams also comply with SAE J581 standards for use as an auxiliary high beam light.
