Novitec just put the finishing touches on the suspension of the street-legal McLaren 620R race car. The 620R is the new limited-run, road-ready version of the 570S GT4 with more power, less weight, and race-spec aerodynamics. Just like on the GT4 race car, the 620R’s suspension is a two-way manually adjustable coilover setup paired with aluminum wishbones and uprights, as well as stiffer anti-roll bars and springs. The McLaren 620R rides on 19-inch front wheels and 20-inch rear wheels, with slick tires that were specifically developed by Pirelli’s Motorsport team.
Perhaps the 620R’s biggest problem is the fact that it is limited to 225 examples globally. But that didn’t stop high-end tuner Novitec from adding its magic touch to the most powerful car in the McLaren Sports Series. So, as a means of putting even greater emphasis on the racing DNA of this lightweight-design special model, Novitec developed a sophisticated range of parts whose focus is on more power and further optimized handling, including a set of sport springs and new forged wheels.

Hi-tech forging technology and center lock are the most striking features on Novitec’s MC3 wheels. These wheels were developed specifically for the street-legal race car and make optimal use of the available space in the fender wells. The tire/wheel staggered combination with diameters of 20 and 21 inches is tailor-made for the McLaren 620R, being one inch larger at the front and rear than the production wheels. This puts even greater emphasis on the wedge shape of the incredible sports car.
Novitec was able to engage Vossen, the renowned American wheel manufacturer, for the development and production of these high-end forged alloys that feature seven delicate twin-spokes running all the way to the outer edge. The result is an optimal combination of maximum strength and light weight for the best performance possible.
The NOVITEC MC3 wheels for the McLaren 620R come in 72 different color variants and are optionally available with a brushed or polished surface as well. The front axle is fitted with 20×8.5 wheels and tires of size 245/30 ZR 20. The rear is fitted with 21×11.5 wheels and 315/30 ZR 21 tires to ensure maximum grip on the rear axle. The Novitec MC3 forged wheels together with specially calibrated sport springs give the powerful mid-engine car more agile handling and a better driving experience overall.
The new Novitec sport springs for the McLaren 620R lower the ride height of the two-seater by about 25 millimeters. These springs are specifically calibrated to the vehicle’s wheel/tire combination and the production shocks with multiple adjustment options.
