New car, some new mods, and a getaway weekend. So I jumped in the all new Project STI and headed west. Weapons included the Valentine Radar Detector, Agency Power catback, Agency Power pulley, and ECUTEK reflash making 390 crank horsepower. I left the house at around 10am and headed towards the 2 lane short cut known as dead cow highway. A bypass of the interstate, Dead Cow, is full of curves, whoops, and some copless straight aways. We caught back up with Interstate 8 headed west and pulled into Yuma for a quick gas refill. By this time we were making great time at about 2 hours. After we crossed the boarder, we pulled off onto the famous Glamis Sand Dunes for a couple of snaps and then headed forward. Cruising at about 95mph, the car was very quiet and comfortable. Not gonna lie we touched 130 on some straights and the car had more to give! We climbed through the mountains about an 1 hour outside of San Diego and deviated to the small town of Julien. Through some twisty mountain rodes we grabbed some of the famous apple pie and then headed out. 7 hours after our start, we ended up in Downtown San Diego. The Agency Power STI proved to be an extremely powerful and comfortable road rally mobile. I can’t wait for the bigger turbo and coilovers to really skim across the country. Stay tuned!
