She Dropped – Vivid Racing buys a red 2004 Subaru WRX on May 3, 2003.

Rob and myself had been drinking at a bar on Friday night when we thought it would be funny to go by a car drunk. Though most stories start out with, So I was drinking and…, this is still one of them no matter how I deny it. We made the decision along time ago that the Blue Vivid WRX had done it all and it was time to start a new Subaru project. The STI was not interesting for us as 300 hp is a the crank and the interior, brakes, and wheels would be pulled off for aftermarket ones anyways. We knew the 2.5L motor was available to the US only limiting products, and knew that the 2.0L we can build to make 300WHP or more and have it stand out. So after not letting us drive the car home Friday night cause we were drunk, go figure, we took delivery of our 2004 Red WRX on Saturday May 3, 2003.

What are our plans for Vivid WRX II. Well that is top secret of course. What I can let you know is it will draw more attention, more power, and more style the the previous one. You will definitely see a body kit, big brakes, big turbo kit, big intercooler, and carbon fiber pieces. We will make sure that no matter where another WRX is, ours will be a bit brighter.

What is different from the 02-03 WRX to the 2004. The 2004 is a bit nicer. They changed the stock seats to image the STI. They also put the tach in the middle like the STI and changed the front and rear ends. Which suck until it gets wheels and is lowered! My personal opinion is that all stock cars suck even my EVO, they need some exterior enhancements and then they are ready go.

Project Vivid WRX II is going to be fun. With the experience from our other car, the parts availability, and the press, this car should be liked by all and gain some good attention. Feel free to comment on it, give us your opinion, or what we should do. We are building this car for our faithful viewers!
