Top 5 Best Cat-Back Exhausts for Hyundai Genesis

People love the Genesis for many reasons; Significantly more power for every trim level. Even the four-cylinder now has enough power to compete with other available sports cars, and most experts point out that the V6 is powerful and refined. The Genesis now has a lot of improvements that allow it to handle quite well – upgraded suspension, fast ratio hydraulic steering, and variable-width tires, and traction mode for stability control. The whole car looks new, although almost all external changes have been made to the front of the car. It is a well-equipped and powerful vehicle at a very competitive price.

Like any sports car, one of the first modifications many enthusiasts choose is to install a secondary exhaust system. An aftermarket exhaust system not only improves airflow thus increasing power and torque, but it can also create a tantalizing exhaust note that will be music to your (and your passerby) ears. On top of that, many offer customizable exhaust tips that leave a sportier and more lasting impression at the rear when you leave your competitors in the dust.

There are quite a few Cat-Back Exhausts for Hyundai Genesis out there, and they all have different upsides when it comes to its build, quality, sound, and looks. Finding the perfect exhaust for your build can be difficult, which is why we’ve compiled a list of our favorite Genesis exhaust systems to help you make your decision. In addition to the systems listed below, you can view other exhaust options right here.

How Does an Exhaust Add Power?

After your engine has gone through the intake, compression, and ignition cycles, it must purge the exhaust gases in order to continue the cycle. The first point of contact of the exhaust gases is the exhaust ports and exhaust manifolds.

Replacing OEM heavy manifolds with an aftermarket tubular manifold kit is a great way to increase power; however, you will still find a significant restriction in the rest of the system.

The whole idea with a large diameter is to increase the flow. As the flow increases, the piston must do less work in pushing the exhaust gases out of the cylinder, which ultimately results in more power.

A good exhaust system will increase flow, possibly increase speed, optimize exhaust gas purging, and use heat to its advantage. For the most part, aftermarket exhaust systems are fairly similar in performance, although some are superior to others as seen in the guide above.
