The Dodge SRT Charger 392 Hemi Edition is a lot of fun straight from the factory, but there is always room for improvement. The naturally aspirated 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine delivers a satisfying 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque right off the bat with its 392 cubic engine. We decided to take that power to the next level with our very own VR Tuned ECU kit to see what we can really get out of the versatile American beast. And while it’s not a Hellcat, it can certainly deliver immense exhilaration while metaphorically keeping you at the edge of your sit and pinned to the back of your seat simultaneously.
We amped up the power on a 2015 Dodge SRT Charger 392 Hemi Edition with the new VR Tuned ECU tuning solution. After getting our baseline numbers, we sent the ECU out to HP Tuners to be unlocked, and then it was time for us to flash the ECU. This tuner unleashes the true potential of the SRT Charger as it delivers heightened power and performance. With the VR Tuned ECU Flash, the 2015 Dodge SRT Charger 392 gained an additional 25 horsepower and 40 pound-feet of torque! The new power figures passed the 500 thresholds with 510 horsepower and 515 pound-feet of torque being the final dyno result.
Apart from increased power, how the Dodge Charger drives on the street and powers through the full RPM range is very important. Along with the improved performance numbers comes better throttle response, faster 0-60mph times, and a stronger top-end pull on the highway. The TorqueFlite automatic 8-speed transmission has its shifting tightened up while the rev limiter can be raised to give you faster quarter-mile times as well.

Note: This is the optimal tune for 93 octane vehicles. 91 octane cars can expect similar performance but with slightly reduced figures. All ECU tuning is done using the HP Tuners MPVI2 OBDII system.
