Greddy Profec Boost Controller is one of the most user friendly boost controllers we have ever worked with and highly recommend this. We have actually used this boost controller in several of our project cars such as our Porsche 996 Turbo, Porsche 997 Turbo, and Mitsubishi EVO VIII. The Profec B boost controller is designed to control your turbochargers boost pressure instead of the computer. The factory computer controls a solenoid which regulates when the wastegate opens to control how much boost a turbo will make. A turbocharger will make as much boost as you want, but the engine might not be able to handle it. On some turbocharged cars you can gain horsepower by just increasing the boost pressure a couple PSI. The rule of thumb is for every 1psi of boost is 10 horsepower. The Profec boost controller bypasses the factory computer allowing you to digitally control the boost pressure. Not only control the boost pressure, but allows you to set a high and low setting of the boost to use depending on your fuel or driving behavior. The Greddy Profec B has warning features so if you do spike beyond the boost setting, it will automatically trim back to not harm your vehicles engine. Overall, the Greddy Boost Controller is one of the best there is for controlling internal or external wastegate turbochargers.
