The Mass Air Flow sensor aka MAF is a vital part of your vehicles intake system. A lot of the ECU calibration and how the car operates is based on the MAF readings. On some cars, over oiling of filters can cause MAF sensors to go bad and just need to be replaced. On other cars you can change the MAF tube or sensors to tune your vehicle for more power.
