The Chevrolet LS platform is known to the car community as one of the most versatile engines. Starting production, the LS was first seen in the late ’90s Corvettes then made its way to the Camaro, Trans Am, Firebird, and continued to grow in popularity. It’s standard pushrod and rocker arm valvetrain design made it easy to work on and upgrades soon flooded the market.
With the LS1 being a huge success, the aftermarket support began growing which gave owners plenty of options in the direction they take their build. Being that the block and cylinder heads are compact and constructed of aluminum, making it a popular engine for swapping into other chassis. This leads to the classification of the most versatile engine since you can practically LS swap anything now.
Due to the ever-growing demand for more and more power, owners began introducing forced induction to the equation. Vortech knows all about forced induction for the LS platform and has released a new supercharger designed specifically for the C5, C6, and C7 corvette. Utilizing an all-billet gearcase, this centrifugal supercharger was built for the high demands of 1,900HP.
With max boost being 35 PSI, the V-15 Z-Trim supercharger can flow an astonishing 3,100 CFM and spin at 65,00 RPM. This flow is achieved by the billet constructed impeller machined with a 5-axis CNC for ultimate efficiency and durability. Offered in a polished finish or a stealthy black, the new V-15 Z-Trim supercharger from Vortech will suite your Corvette’s needs.
