The C8 Corvette is Chevrolet’s supercar-killer, offering exotic-level performance with a sports car price tag. Compared to previous generations, the eight-gen features better handling and responsiveness, more even weight distribution, greater visibility, improved engine cooling, and superior performance. Although the engine is now located behind the passenger compartment, it remains a 6.2-liter V8, albeit one that delivers 490 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. With the dual-mode performance exhaust that comes with the optional Z51 package, it makes 495 horses.

Our customer chose the new VR Forged D01 monoblock wheels for his C8 Corvette and it’s safe to say that this was a match made in heaven. The car was first lowered on a set of VR Performance Front Lowering Collars, which gives it a more aggressive look. C8 models with the factory front lift kit have a ride height that needs to be lowered in order to achieve that bold stance that the Z51 cars have without the nose lift. Since the rear is already adjustable from the factory, VR came up with lowering collars for the front to even out the look.
After lowering his C8, this customer knew that a fresh set of wheels would really enhance the overall look of this build. The front wheels weigh 11.4 kilograms (25.1 pounds) and the rear wheels are 13.9 kilograms (30.6 pounds). Each D01 forged wheel has a load rating of up to 690 kilograms (1521 pounds).
