The Ferrari 575 Maranello’s stout nose has always had strong sex appeal to me since the first time I saw that navy blue one on Gumball in 2004. But like all Ferrari’s, there has got to be more. The Ferrari SuperAmerica came out as the convertible version of the 575M. With a higher output V12 engine pumping 540hp, this was one serious car. Ferrari marketed the car as the fastest convertible with a top speed of 199mph. But one thing the SuperAmerica had an option of was the GTC package. This included the larger Ferrari/Brembo ceramic brakes using a 390mm front rotor and 360mm rear. So when this owner wanted to beef up his brakes on the Ferrari, we gave him the ultimate option. We equipped it with the Brembo GT 380mm front and rear big brake kit. The front features a 6piston monoblock caliper and the rear a 4piston caliper. The 2pc floating drilled rotors have amazing bite and much lighter then stock. But with such a rare and pure car, you can’t have Brembo showing on the calipers. So Vivid Racing hooked this caliper up with a Ferrari logo and repaint for that OEM look. Very classy, very functional. F40 in Portland, CT who you might have seen on Chasing Classic Cars on the Discovery Channel did the install. Great job! Check out other Brembo Ferrari Brake Kits we have here.
