Being a huge Top Secret of Japan fan, I had to have Bronze wheels on my white EVO VIII. I have the TE37 wheels on my WRX, so I figured I would go for the SE37A style. Much approved! They arrived 2 days after talking to Mackin and were ready to be mounted. But wait…no tires! I gave my friends at BF Goodridge a call and they sent me some KDW G-Force 245/40/18 for my 18×8.5 Volks. Thanks BFG!!!
Our good friends at Wheel Specialists were now ready to mount, balance, and swap the tires for us. For a complete pictorial on the wheel change, size differences, and install tips, go HERE. The car was lifted at all 4 corners and the mutation was ready to occur. As each wheel was being put on the smile on my face grew. Nothing better then some big beefy JDM Volks in Bronze.
The car was lowered down and they she stood. Bronze and white glowing at me. I could only think how cool this thing looks now. As I drove off the wider tires gave a better feel in turns and provided a stiffer stance. How happy I was, but knowing we were just starting. Did you think wheel gap? Well don’t!
