The Remus Sport Exhaust With Active Valves Allows for the Best Sound and Performance Without Compromise

Remus has a history of creating great sounding performance exhaust systems for BMW vehicles. The new F87 BMW M2 was just released this year, which has received a ton of praise for being an enthusiast orientated M car. With all of the hype and performance numbers to back it up, many aftermarket companies have begun developement and production of new parts for this platform. Remus decided to go with a valved sport exhaust system for this model to compliment the N55 turbo charged engine. This exhaust system has switchable modes via the factory sport button, which integrates the valves in a OEM styled package. The new exhaust system replaces the cat-back section of the factory components and allows for higher flow and increased noise. For added customization, there are 5 different tip options to choose from which will change the way the rear end of the vehicle looks. There are horsepower and torque benefits from installing this new exhaust, but the most exciting feature is the noise it produces. Don’t take my word for it, check out the videos below. With a plethora of new parts coming out for the M2, we are sure the Remus name and performance history will make this one of the best options.

Remus has developed a brand new performance sport exhaust system for the BMW F87 M2. The new development will not disappoint, with over 25 years of exhaust technology experience and using a highly sophisticated R&D center which features one of Europe’s largest acoustic sound chambers, the Remus technicians have been able to improve upon the original exhaust of the 3.0-liter N55B30 turbocharged BMW engine by intergrating 2 electronically controlled valves into the exhaust system. The company’s sound experts spend many days isolated in the acoustic sound chamber developing the distinctive sonorous-aggressive roar typical for Remus as heard on many satisfied F8x M3/M4 customer cars around the globe. The team in charge of developing extra power carried out numerous dyno runs in the acoustic chamber and found that the 2 x 65mm dual flow configuration was able to increase power by an impressive 8,7 HP while torque was increased by 11,8 Nm. At the same time, the weight of the stainless steel Remus performance sport exhaust system is reduced by 1,1 kg compared to the original.

The Remus Catback performance sport exhaust features a bolt-on non-resonated front section paired with a bi-modal performance sport exhaust system which comes with full EC approval and features 2 integrated valves which are controlled by the onboard vehicle electronics. The exhaust comes as a 4x 100mm quad tip configuration and with 5 different tip set designs. All Remus performance sport exhaust systems are produced using T304 stainless steel and are shot-blasted to relieve possible production induced material stresses. The lighter-weight construction is partly down to thinner, yet equally strong side wall construction. The aggressive Remus sound generated from the N55B30 turbocharged engine is due to innovative bi-modal internals with up to 80% reduced back pressure which is directly responsible for the noticeable power increase. All internals are also made from T304 stainless steel which are corrosion resistant and guarantee long term quality. All Remus performance sport exhaust systems are covered by a 3 year warranty against manufacturer defects.
