While the setup looks pretty sweet from the factory, VR Forged’s D05 monoblock wheels truly take the McLaren 650S to the next level.
The VR Forged D05s are one-piece fully forged wheels that really capture your eyes and keep your gaze. The design of this wheel is elegant with intricate machine work that gives it a race-inspired look. The split-spoke design toward the barrel of the wheel focuses on precision CNC machining while giving it that exotic “spider-like” look. Manufactured using a 10,000-ton press, these wheels are incredibly strong and lightweight for the best of both worlds. This wheel is perfectly matched to any luxury coupe or sedan, while truly giving an exotic supercar like the McLaren an even sharper aesthetic.
The McLaren 650S featured here is sporting Satin Bronze 20×8.5 wheels at the front and 21×12 wheels at the rear with a +27 and +35 offset respectively. These D05 monoblock wheels have a 5×112 bolt pattern with a 66.6 center bore. Each individual wheel weighs in at 10.9 kilograms (24 pounds) in the front and 13.9 kilograms (30.6 pounds) in the back with a 690-kilogram (1521-pound) load rating. Front tires are recommended to be 245/30/20s and the rear tires should measure 325/25/21 for that perfect fit.
