Our 2020 project Ford Raptor was treated to a new pair of eyes and we have to admit, it looks incredible! We installed one of the coolest headlight setups you will ever see and the end result did not disappoint. In the video below, we first show you an up-close look at the stock Raptor headlights, which are quite distinctive on their own. This is one of the most recognizable headlight setups from Ford and so many aftermarket companies try to copy the look. With low and high beams as well as running lights, the factory assembly gives off a decent light output for street driving. So, while the OEM headlights look great and have good optics, we need a larger field of vision for off-roading. This is where the new Morimoto XB LED headlights come in for the 2015-2020 Ford F-150 Raptor.

The Morimoto front headlight assembly features four projectors with the DRLs in a stunning black housing that suits the naturally menacing look of the Raptor truck. The original Morimoto F-150 XB headlights used two projectors on top for the low beam, and two on the bottom as a dedicated high beam. The new setup utilizes all four projectors for the low beam and has a dual Bi-LED setup for the high beam. The result is 200 percent more light output and a better distribution of light for increased visibility in the distance and off to the sides of the road. If the optics weren’t impressive enough, a cool startup sequence has been added too. When the Daytime Running Lights go on, the projectors illuminate in a two-stage sequence before turning back off. Morimoto’s LED DRLs are powered by Osram 5000K LEDs and are insanely bright, making them easily visible. A separate optic that is dedicated to the turn signal function uses amber LEDs to produce a full sequential turn signal.
These headlights feature a UV-coated polycarbonate lens that will stand the test of time, ensuring your truck’s lights will look good as new for many years to come. The PPS plastic housing is super lightweight and much stronger than the competition. What’s more, the die-cast aluminum heat-sinks inside the housings provide more than an adequate amount of cooling for the OEM-grade Osram LED chips that produce the light. These use the same external housing and lens from the gen-one version, which have held up like OEM after a few years on the market. Lastly, the Morimoto F-150 LED headlights are designed to be a plug-and-play installation so they will work on your truck without any modifications.
