Model #GM-1071-3D
The 70 Series of torque converters are some of the most prolific converters ever manufactured under our roof for the Allison transmission.
These converters drive and feel almost stock at part throttle, but once you start leaning on the throttle heavily, watch out! The 1071 torque converter was designed for the LML late-model VGT turbos; however recent testing has proven that they also operate very well in early 5 and 6-speed Allisons.
This is definitely a street/strip/race converter. This converter launches fairly hard and couples extremely well. This is a blast to drive on the street playing around on a Saturday night.
The 1071 even makes a stock or mildly modified truck feel like a different animal altogether. On higher horsepower builds, 500hp+ billet internals is recommended. This converter will beg you to drive it as you stole it. Can be used on stock-deleted vehicles. Towing is not recommended over 7,000 lb.
