The V2 BE Bearings have a new look. The original Calico PTFE coating is gone and replaced. The original bearing was a standard Clevite Tri-Metal "H" series design. The new bearing is still tri-metal, but is an "F" series design. The F Series is coated with Silver Oxide, instead of the Calico PTFE. The F series shell design can handle 30% more load, and the Silver Oxide coating is better in low oil and boundary conditions than the Calico PTFE. This means your engine will have a stronger bearing for higher horsepower that will withstand low oil and clearance abuses even better than our previous design. This is the same bearing design used by Dodge in the Hellcat engines, and BE Bearings is the first (and only) aftermarket manufacturer who has it. This updated bearing spent two years in development.

BE Bearings has developed a custom rod bearing solution, which is made at the very same Clevite facility as that of the OEM bearings, but to more appropriate specifications to improve the oil clearance, thereby reducing the risk of bearing starving and increasing the bearing life.
BE Bearings are designed to deal with the problem of rod bearing clearance and to provide a solution to it. They are developed for compatibility with factory oils of the 10W60 weight grade, which improves the flow of oil. Lubrication for "Start-Stop" automobiles is improved compared to the bearings that come from the factory. BE Bearing products are designed after extensive discussion with prominent industry professionals from NASCAR and IndyCar, as well as a former engine designer for BMW's M-division. Clevite, a factory BMW bearing supplier, was responsible for the design and manufacturing of these bearings. Traditional design using lead and copper for the bearings results in reduced wear on the crankshaft journals and can be tracked through Blackstone oil analysis. Each bearing undergoes measuring and is then size-binned. This gives customers the ability to specify their own bearing specifications when it's required.
BE Bearings and Clevite, a manufacturer of original equipment (OE) bearings, have rebuilt and remanufactured the bearings with a larger clearance and a lead-copper material composition in place of the original tin-aluminum composition. This modification utilised the cutting-edge Clevite Tri-Metal design and had a Tri-ArmorTM covering. This allows for greater lubrication to reduce wear, and the softer bearings are best for your engine and are more tolerant of foreign substances suspended in the oil. In addition, it is now possible to send the oil for testing in order to correctly determine the level of engine wear.
